New Skills

Skill: Gambling (int) (untrained) (general)

The ability to understand and play games of chance. A character only knows games he/she has seen before.
Check: A character can learn a new game by playing and/or observing a game and making a successful check (DC 10 + game complexity).
Winnings:When playing a game, the total modifier to the gambling roll depends on the game:
cards: 1d20 + gambling ranks + cha + luck
dice: 1d20 + gambling ranks + dex + luck
etc.
Winnings/loses for the night is according to the following formula:
1d10 + ((opposed skill check difference)/5*10) * (stakes/10) = winnings or loses
Example (PC vs group of NPC's):
Linda is playing cards in a tavern for the evening at low stakes (1 sp pot per round, on the average). She makes her gambling skill check for the evening, and rolls a 15. She adds her skill (5) and charisma (+2) and her luck (+2) for a total of 24 (15+5+2+2). Her opponents roll a 4, plus skill (1), charisma (+1) and luck (+1) for a total of 7. Linda rolls 1d10 for her winnings, and gets a 2. Her total winnings for the night are
2 + ((24 – 7) / 5 * 10) * (1 sp / 10) = 2 + (17 / 5 * 10) * (1 cp) = 2 + 3 * 10 * 1 cp = 32 cp.
(remember to round down when you divide by 5)
Retry: No retries allowed for figuring gambling winnings. Retries for learning a new game mean that your character spends more time studying the game first.
Special:Cheating: A character can cheat by making an opposed cheat vs spot check. The cheat roll modifiers depends on the game being played. Successful cheating gives you a +10 circumstance bonus to your gambling check for calculating earnings. Being spotted could get you killed!
A character with 5 or more ranks in Bluff or Spot gets a +2 synergy bonus to gambling
